We exist for a simple reason: solar rarely delivers what it promises. Systems are sold without honest analysis. Panels lose output to dust and heat from the first week. Faults go unnoticed for months. The gap between what solar could produce and what it actually produces is wide — and almost no one is working on it.
That gap is our entire business.
Our story
From Clean Solar to Sōlrein.
Sōlrein began as Clean Solar, with one mission: keeping panels clean in one of the sunniest, and dustiest, places on earth.
We stepped away for a time. We came back with a wider view — that cleaning was only one piece of a larger problem, and that solving it properly meant working across the full life of a solar system: before the purchase, after the installation, and every day in between.
Clean Solar became Sōlrein. The mission became performance.

Sōlcare looks after residential systems for the long run: monitoring performance, correcting faults, keeping panels clean. A solar system is a twenty-five-year asset that most owners check twice a year. Sōlcare closes that gap — because the difference between a maintained system and a neglected one, compounded over decades, is the difference between an investment and a disappointment.
Sōlrobo is our automated cleaning robot for solar plants. At plant scale, dust is not a nuisance — it is a measurable loss of revenue, week after week. Sōlrobo keeps installed PV at peak output with consistency no manual crew can match, and without the water, cost, and risk that manual cleaning carries.
Sōlurban brings the same thinking to solar lighting. Street-scale solar fails quietly: hundreds of poles, none of them cleaned, all of them dimming. Sōlurban keeps all-in-one solar light poles performing between maintenance visits — extending cleaning cycles and cutting the cost of running solar at city scale.
Meet our founder
Hossam M. Mounir
Hossam M. Mounir is a Mechatronics Engineer specializing in solar plant performance after installation, from dust accumulation to module overheating. His work spans both research and industry: doctoral research at the German University in Cairo, and business development roles across the solar sector.
He founded Sōlrein to bring these two sides together — applying research on soiling and thermal losses to solutions that hold up in the field, not just in a study.
